Here Are a Few of my Poems That have been Published in the Genre Magazines
He
Tried to grab me
Out there
In the dark
Behind the 7-Eleven, but
I
Whipped the blade
From my purse, and
You should have seen
His face
Fall.
He lay like a reptile in the sun
Hooded slow blinker
Lizard smile
Drawing in midday heat
Risen from cool night torpor
Caves to the east still singing
Midnight songs of
Sweet infinity
He rose like a god from a stone
Pale inscrutable
Sculpture piece
Footsteps rang like bells
Dance of light across the desert
A blinded falcon to the wrist
Flowers spraying
From his heels
He burned like a flame in the ocean
Screaming planet
Whimpering mote
Astounded it should happen
Betrayed by one so weak as I
Drawn laughing to the pyre
I turn to the east
Black skies beckon
Wind moans
Low groans
Scratching at the windowscreens
Tapping at the dormer eaves
Something rustling in the leaves
Setting sun
Get the gun
Daddy's home again
Moonbeams
Deathdreams
Coffins roaring underground
Creaking pulley rumble down
Shovel cover wormy mound
Silent screams
Final themes
All struggles cease
